Stew on the Bayou

A hearty, soulful stew packed with bold Louisiana flavor—perfect served over rice or enjoyed as a comforting bowl of soup.

Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp
1 lb sausage (sliced)
1 lb potatoes (cubed)
½ can cream of mushroom soup
½ can cream of celery soup
½ cup chopped onions
1 packet brown gravy mix
2 cups water
Instructions:
Prep the Protein:
Sauté shrimp in a skillet and set aside.
In a separate skillet, sauté sausage and set aside.
Sauté Aromatics:In your stew pot, sauté chopped onions until softened.
Parboil Potatoes:Boil cubed potatoes for 5 minutes to partially cook them.
Build the Stew Base:In the pot with onions, pour in 2 cups of water and stir in the brown gravy mix until fully blended.
Combine and Simmer:Add the shrimp, sausage, potatoes, cream of mushroom, and cream of celery to the pot. Stir well.Let simmer on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Serve:Enjoy as-is or serve hot over white rice.
